Community service is a pillar of the TRUE NORTH mission and program.

Our teens have given over 4,000 hours of community service since our inception in 2014. We believe that giving back to your community builds stronger individuals for the future. Check out our upcoming service opportunities and past projects below!

Telluride

Weekly opportunities to volunteer with True North

True North is always in need of students to help with flyering. Visit us at Base Camp, Wednesday 3:15-5:00 in the TMHS library for more info.

Annual Spring Trail Cleanup

True North will be partnering with Telluride’s AVID class to host a trail cleanup in Spring 2024. Let us know if you are interested in this project.

Norwood

Fresh Food Hub/Local Food Bank

The Fresh Food Hub is always in need of volunteers, especially able-bodied students. They host a food distribution every Friday in the Tech Building @ Norwood High School. Set-up starts at 11 AM, and ends at 4 PM. Get volunteer hours AND go home with a box full of food goodies.

True North Teen Space

True North’s offices and Teen Space in the Tech Building need weekly maintenance and upkeep. If you are interested in receiving hours in-school or out-of-school, there are always tasks to be done.

Hoof + Paw Animal Rescue and Thrift Store

Hoof + Paw in Naturita is looking for volunteers to fill a variety of needs for their two businesses: the Hoof + Paw Thrift Store and the Animal Rescue. Whether you are interested in seriously working with animals, working with merchandise at the thrift store, or helping them grow their online and social media presence – there’s a job for you.
