Where do I start?
The College Process can feel intimidating.
We recommend you start by taking a look at our College Checklist. With suggested action items for students of every grade level, this resources will help you understand where you are at, and where you should be.
Feel free to check out our College 101 Zoom Seminar from the Spring of 2023, linked in the menu to the right, to hear all you need to know about the College Process from guidance counselor Rick Williams.
If you’re not yet sure about where to apply, our College Match worksheet can help you explore your options.
Our College 101 flowchart below might also answer some of your questions.
-
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

How do I finance my secondary education?
This is a question we get asked a lot. The graphic below takes you through the cost of college, and the various options available to cover that cost.
The most comprehensive and local source of information is guidance counselor Rick William’s Financial Aid 101 Zoom seminar, which we have linked in the drop down menu to the right. Watch through this presentation; if you have further questions, feel free to contact your local college counselor, or send an email to True North.
In order to access most forms of financial aid, you have to fill out a government form: either the FAFSA, or the CASFA. To check your eligibility and start preparing to fill out the forms, please see our checklist, linked in the menu on the right.
The Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) houses many incredible resources. Explore their resources by following the link included on the right.
