The San Miguel Current Magazine
The San Miguel Current is a collaboration between students, True North staff, school staff, local newspapers, and other community partners. It aims to provide a platform to discuss and celebrate topics important to local teens.
True North Youth Program believes in the San Miguel Current as a way for students to build their resumes, their professional and creative skills, and their sense of confidence and identity.
If you are a local teen with artwork or writing of any kind, True North would be proud to publish your work!
Get involved if you are a student that:
Has any kind of work that you would like to share
Knows of an interesting local story

Is interested in collaborating with high schoolers from Telluride, Norwood, and Nucla
In Partnership with JFK
True North is proud to partner with the Just For Kids Foundation to publish The San Miguel Current. Open to students of all ages, the publication features writing, poetry, music, photography, visual art, and more. It’s a powerful platform for students to share their voices, express themselves, and be recognized for their work. If you have an idea for a story, art piece, or anything else that you’d like to submit, but aren’t sure where to start, contact True North! We’d love to help.
