    Gondola & Transit Operator I

    Date: Summer only (May-October)

    Location: Mountain Village

    Under direct supervision, operates the Gondola and Municipal Bus Service for the Town of Mountain Village and provides safe, secure, and courteous transportation services to passengers. Must be 18 years old or older. Prior gondola experience is not required; prior guest services experience is preferred. This is an entry level position in gondola operations. The Gondola Operator/Transit Operator I will be trained in the skills necessary to perform the job. All relevant experience will be considered. Able to communicate effectively and professionally in English; follow oral and written instructions and memorize necessary information. Possession of a valid driver’s License is required.

    Location: Western Slope Dark Sky Coalition is a regional non-profit that supports Montrose, San Miguel, Dolores, & Ouray counties

    Content Creators will create short videos and reels, take night‑sky photos, design “Did You Know?” posts, and help run a weekly Dark Sky Fact series. Digital Ambassadors engage with comments, connect with youth groups, and write short blog posts or youth‑focused educational pieces.

    Community Food Systems Intern or Farmers Market Assistant

    Fresh Foundation (dba Fresh Food Hub) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit supporting the local food system in Norwood, CO by offering affordable access to local food for families in the region.

    We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Farmers Market Assistant to support our presence at local farmers markets. If you have a passion for locally-grown food, community connection, and great customer service, this role is for you!

    Responsibilities:

    Assist with farm market setup, breakdown, and restocking throughout market hours

    Engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, promoting local products and Fresh Foundation programs

    Support CSA packing as needed

    Assist with cash drawer, sales transactions, and POS system operation Process EBT, Double Up, WIC, and Food Rx vouchers

    Support cleaning and maintenance of market gear and supplies

    Assist with loading and unloading the van for market transport

  • Fresh Food Hub/Local Food Bank

    The Fresh Food Hub is always in need of volunteers, especially able-bodied students. They are often in need of hand organizing and cleaning on Thursdays between 10am and 2pm as well as between 1:30 and 3pm on Sundays before distribution.   • True North Teen Space

    True North’s offices and Teen Space in the Tech Building need weekly maintenance and upkeep. If you are interested in receiving hours in-school or out-of-school, there are always tasks to be done.

  • Hoof + Paw Animal Rescue and Thrift Store

    Hoof + Paw in Naturita is looking for volunteers to fill a variety of needs for their two businesses: the Hoof + Paw Thrift Store and the Animal Rescue. Whether you are interested in seriously working with animals, working with merchandise at the thrift store, or helping them grow their online and social media presence – there’s a job for you.
